With the passage of time, these dams are losing their efficiency and may be useless or unable to fulfill our country’s requirements within next ten years. Now it is time to decide for the future of our country to construct new dam to fulfill the our future power needs, but the construction of such a huge dams will be too much expensive, or its design creates too much misconception that it will never be constructed (for example Kala Bagh Dam), or they are at high risk of enemy’s attack in war, or the transportation cost of electricity to each and every area of country is much higher. Instead of constructing a huge dam, there is an alternative to construct small and economy size dam in each city that will work on canal system. The canal system of Punjab is comprehensively constructed, that provides full support for small scale dams. This small sized dam will provide electricity to only that city, so number of controversy and obstacles which are involved in large dams are eliminated. So design a computerized system to manage and monitor these small scale dams in each city from a centralized power control office with a strong communication link with each city to provide up-to-date information about each dam in that city.
